RRS Invests in 30 Axle Lines of Kamag 240 SPMTs to Strengthen Heavy Lift Capability
Back to NewsRRS has strengthened its heavy lift and specialist transport capability with the purchase of 30 axle lines of Kamag 240 Self-Propelled Modular Transporters, supported by two power packs.
The investment represents a significant expansion of RRS’ in-house transport fleet and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to delivering complex heavy lifting and abnormal load relocation projects across the UK.
The Kamag 240 SPMTs are recognised within the industry for their reliability, manoeuvrability and high load capacity. With 30 axle lines and two power packs now available, RRS has the flexibility to configure the units to suit a wide range of project requirements, from large structural components and infrastructure assets through to energy and industrial equipment movements.
This latest investment enhances RRS’ ability to offer a fully integrated solution, combining heavy crane operations with specialist modular transport under one provider. It also allows the business to take on larger and more technically demanding schemes while maintaining control over programme, safety and delivery standards.
Joe Barber, Commercial Director at RRS, said:
“This is a major step forward for us as a business. Investing in 30 axle lines of Kamag 240 SPMTs significantly increases the scale and complexity of projects we can now deliver in-house.
It opens up a wide range of new opportunities across the heavy lift and infrastructure sectors, and with a strong order book already in place, the new equipment will be put straight to work. We have existing projects that require this capability, so this investment is not just about growth, it is about meeting demand and strengthening our position in the market.”
The addition of the Kamag fleet further positions RRS as a leading heavy lift contractor and specialist transport provider, capable of delivering engineered solutions from initial planning through to final installation.
